I am helping someone who has hand raised a male pekin. He is around a year. The
family realizes he needs to be with other ducks so they contacted me about
helping find him a home. He has been kept in a the safety of a pen but allowed
in the yard and swimming pool.

Pound Ridge: Four geese are in need of a safe home. Of these geese, there are two white Embden geese, a brown Pilgrim goose and a Chinese goose. Gender and age are unknown. These geese were "inherited" by their current caregivers when they purchased and moved into their new home. The previous property owner indicated that someone had dropped the geese off there last winter. These geese cannot fly and have angel-wing due to malnourishment. They need a home where they can remain together as a happy flock and have access to a safe and secure swimming area and shelter. If you are interested in providing a loving home to these geese, please contact Emily. Contact: Emily | Phone: 914-977-3515 | E-mail: elliot16@...
Valley Cottage: Twelve 8-month-old ducks are in need of safe homes. Their current caregiver (who took in the ducks for another person who now cannot take them back) needs to find the ducks loving homes immediately, as they are growing up fast and she is unable to keep them permanently. Their caregiver is unsure of the ducks’ genders, but believes there may be one male and 11 females. If you can help by providing a pair, or a small group, of these ducks with a forever home, please contact Susan. Contact: Susan | Phone: 845-267-0024 | E-mail: pjpaul@...

Elkhorn: Two beautiful white adult geese are in need of a safe home. The two were abandoned at a lake and do not have a shelter or caregiver. Their ages and genders are unknown, but they appear to be Embden and Roman tufted crosses. One of the geese has a dropped wing, but they otherwise seem healthy. They are located near Omaha, Nebraska, but a concerned individual is willing to drive them to a good home. If you can help by providing these two with a loving home with access to water and a warm shelter, please contact Janeen. Contact: Janeen | Phone: 402-896-9470 | E-mail: tbird_evans@...

Alamo: A male Indian Runner duck is in need of a loving home. He is about a year-and-a-half old and was raised with dogs and children. La Mesa: An adult goose is urgently in need of a safe home. The age of this goose is unknown and his current caregiver suspects the bird is male because he does not lay eggs. His caregiver rescued him from a bad situation about six months ago, but does not have a yard that is sufficiently set up for geese. This goose needs a loving home where he can live out his natural life with other geese in a large, protected yard, pond and shelter. If you can help, please contact Jenna. Hello,
I am the mom of a beautiful female Buff duck of about 4 months who was raised by
hand. She is a half inside/half outside duck. She sleeps inside but spends much
of her day outside in the garden. We are looking for a companion for her,
preferably a female duck. We are in Castro Valley Ca, which is about 30 miles
outside of San Francisco. I was wondering if there is anyone who knows of a duck
that needs a home in my area. Can you let me know if you hear of one?
Thanks so much,
Carol Andredesz

Contact me if you can help give a home to these 2 ducks.
Hi, I have 2 domestic ducks I need to place but cannot find them a home to save my life. I am in central Virginia. Do you have any courtesy listings so someone looking for pet ducks can know about them? They are fawn and white runner drakes. Very nice boys. When I bought them as a VERY green duck owner I was told they were hens. (not!) They were about a year old and the owner knew darn well they were boys but wanted them gone so she lied. I have 2 little hens and a drake at home already and now I have a hen who is being attacked so bad they nearly drown her yesterday. We need the 2 boys placed soon but no one wants them even for free. I even offered to deliver and no one wants boys. Are they any rescues in VA? Thank you for your time.

My shipment of female khaki campbells arrived 20 weeks ago.
They turned out to be all male and 2 females. by the time we realized
this they had already captured our hearts. We decided to keep them
not knowing that so many males and not enough females was going to be
a BIG problem. They have picked 1 female that they torment all day
long every day. She is in such bad health from this i have
seperated the 2 females from the rest of the ducks. Now they have
picked 1 male and almost killed him this weekend. He is now in
the garage in a pen. These ducks are pets that have been hand raised
by my young children and are very sweet and docile with the children,
dogs, and cats. They can be held and pet. (They will eat pond fish)
They are very sweet and a joy to watch and interact with in the garden and yard.
I am willing to part with 2 of the more docile males to
a good home providing you have adaquite arrangements to take care
of them.
If you live near Southern California I have 39 (yes, no typo) peking ducklings
dropped off in an overnight box at a wildlife facility that I am looking to
place in homes.
If you are interested in some, or all, of these guys please let me know ASAP as
my aviaries have chickens at the moment and I have no good place to house them.
I am willing to transport them to you within reason, they are in San Diego and I
will drive as far as Temecula.
Thanks
Susan

We have 5 geese in the Columbus area that are in need of placement.
They are currently living on a retention pond, behind our local Maynards, where
some uncaring individual dumped them a few months ago.
They appear to be a family....Embden, Brown Chinese, and 3 cross breeds.
The weather is turning and the Canada Geese they were socializing with are gone.
They really need to be placed.
If you can offer them a good home, please contact me.

CO, Littleton - white mallard female I have a female white mallard. She is only about 3 months old. I bought her as a pet but my parents won't let me keep her anymore. She is extremely friendly and follows people around like a dog. She loves to swim and hates being alone. She still hasn't layed any eggs. She is very cute, friendly, and cuddley and needs a home!
We rescued 29 ducks from a store that couldn't sell them and wanted to euthanize
them. Unfortunately, our coop isn't large enough to handle all of them safely
and humanely. We have to part with about half of them. We have white Pekin,
colorful Harlequin, and fawn and white Runner ducks. These 12 guys are rather
attached to each other, so we want them to go as a group. They are very pretty
and healthy, they were great for my daughter's garden (ate all the bugs), and
they are easy to take care of (easier than our chickens, and much more hardy).
These are pet ducks, not meat ducks, so please do not respond if your intention
is to butcher them. We live near Ft Wayne, Indiana. We may be able to deliver
the ducks if you are somewhat nearby (within an hour or two). Email Cheryl at
EagleAcademy @ OmnicityUSA.com or call me at 260-344-3355 if you are interested
in giving these cute, funny characters a safe, happy home. By the way, my
daughter (age 10) is very protective of her little friends, so don't be
surprised if she studies you very carefully to make sure you'll be a good "mom"
or "dad" to her "babies"! :-)
We are wanting to find a loving home for our pet ducks. They are both very
loving and sweet. We cannot keep them for several reasons. We do not have the
proper shelter for them in the winter. But mainly in the last week there was a
Hawk on our deck checking them out and this morning a red fox was in the yard
right by them. They must go to someone who will love them and that has a safe
shelter for them. Please email at, Joyupmm@... if you are interested. We are
in NW Indiana, right out of the Chicagoland area. Thank you so much!!!

We took in two young chickens in June although we do not accept farm animals, because the teacher of the class where they hatched basically begged us to. One had an abcess and the other had a splayed leg, which we had amputated. They muct be re-homed ASAP! We do not have a space for them as such and they are currently housed with the rabbits and guinea pigs who are increasingly upset by the crowing. We have searched for appropriate placement near us- we are located in NW IL - where they could be safe. However we have had no luck so far. They are even listed on our Petfinder account:
One of our supporters suggested we contact you to see if you had any suggestions as to where we can place these guys asap. Or if you'd post it to your list.
I am being forced to find another home for my pet duck, Daffodil. She must be a
pet and not turned loose in a pond with other ducks. She is loving and sweet. I
would really like to find her a home somewhat close to Aiken, SC. I would like
to see her again occasionally, because it's breaking my heart and that of my
little 4 year old son. She's just wonderful and has been treated as a pet. She
has a diaper harness and willingly sticks her head into it. She comes inside at
night, but needs a lot of attention and a lot of tomatos. It would be great if
she could live with at least one other duck as a pet. Please help. -Holly
A pond that is being cleared out needs to have the 6 geese relocated. They were abandoned there and the property owner doesn't want them but is willing to assist with transporting them. Please email me if you can provide a home for these geese.

My 4 month old duck lost his partner last week and is spending most of the day
just crying. He needs a partner. I would like to either give him away or get
another duck. I live in a subdivision with a large fenced backyard with a
goldfish pond.

Webster: Six domestic ducklings who are about seven months old are in need of
permanent, loving homes. They are small- to medium-sized ducks. Their colors are
a mix of pure white, grey and white, black and white, and brown and white. These
ducklings are being cared for by a wildlife rehabilitator who took in the eggs
as they were hatching because the mother duck passed away when she was hit by a
car. Now they are ready to go to good homes. Their caregiver prefers that they
are adopted out together, or in pairs of two, and that they go to a home with a
safe enclosure for nighttime. Help with transport will be provided. If you are
interested in adopting two, or all, of these ducks, please contact Sue.

Vacaville: Twenty-nine Muscovy ducks and one male rabbit are in need of loving
homes. There are about 20 male and nine female ducks; currently, the sexes are
separated. The ducks are approximately three years old. Many of the ducks have a
condition called `angel-wing' and are unable to fly. The ducks may only go to
homes with predator-proof fencing and a safe shelter to be closed into during
the night. Harry, the rabbit, has been neutered and is a few years old. Harry is
white with black spots and very friendly with people. He loves to eat carrots
and oranges for snacks. These animals' current caregiver is going through a
divorce and has numerous other special needs animals she cares for; therefore,
she is not able to afford the care for all of these animals anymore. If you can
help by providing one, or more, of these animals with a safe home, please
contact Susan.
