I'm sorry to hear about your gerbil. You definitely did the right thing. My mama gerbil, Prunella, died on the Winter Solstice after a respiratory infection.

I don't think that I posted a follow up on this.   I had to help Mama over the rainbow bridge.    The antibiotics didn't work and I took her in a second
