A place for budgie (parakeet) and cockatiel owners to find information on caring for their birds, share stories pictures, and just generally have fun talking about their birds!
It's generally considered polite for new members to introduce themselves and their birds, so please do so!
Short list of rules:

1. Do not post off topic posts to the list; we have hundreds of members, who may not care about an off topic discussion between you and a friend. Take it to private email.
2. Do not post forwards, virus warnings, hoaxes or other things to the list. If you're unsure if something is a hoax, check either Snopes.com or Vmyths.com.
3. This list does not allow attachments to help protect members from viruses and worms. If you have a picture to share, please use the photos section or send a message that has a link to your website.
4. The links section is for parrot related links ONLY.
5. Please don't advertise your store/breeding business, etc. It's okay to put a link at the end or your messages as a signature, and it's okay to put it in the links section but this isn't a classifed ad list.
6. If you are looking for a breeder in your area, check BirdsnWays. They have a large breeder directory as well as classified ads.
7. If you are looking to buy a bird and need help on how to determine a bad pet store or breeder from a good one, here you go. That is part of the budgies-n-tiels.com main site.
8. Discussion and disagreement are fine, but please don't flame people. Everybody was a new owner once, and I'm sure you've all made a stupid mistake with your birds at one point. If you see someone doing something dangerous or incorrectly, by all means tell them, but do it nicely.
